Advanced Playwriting Workshop
This class if for aspiring playwrights who have completed the Beginning Playwriting Class and for experienced playwrights who have completed a full-length play or one-act, and want to hone their craft. Students will learn the nuts and bolts of working on a play: writing and rewriting, fleshing out characters, streamlining action, refining dialogue and finessing structure. Students will be encouraged and aided in completing a short work, a one-act, or a draft of a full-length play. Work on an existing draft of a play is allowed. Students will receive critical analysis of their work; will explore premise, theme, character development, structure, and concentrate on cultivating story, character, and dialogue.
Classes are typically held on Zoom. The yearly tuition fee for two semesters is $425. $212.50 per semester. Those who paid a $142. installment, owe $283.00 for the full year and must pay in full to register for the second semester.
