Vondie Curtis and Al Freeman

From the NY Times Review by D.J.R. Bruckner

”BEING a failure ain’t easy,” one of the West Indians in Edgar White’s ”Trinity” says. But once you have achieved it, he adds, ”the nice thing about failure is that people leave you to hell alone.” Not in a play by Mr. White, they won’t. All one of his characters has to do to set himself up for trouble is get a little overconfident.
